KMAP BULLETIN: RHC/FQHC PPS Rebase

Date: 01/11/21

KMAP GENERAL BULLETIN 21004 (PDF)

A Prospective Payment System (PPS) rebase will be done for all Rural Health Centers/Federally Qualified Health Centers (RHCs/FQHCs) effective January 1, 2023. In order to give the most complete increase, all RHCs and FQHCs will need to submit the 2018 and 2019 cost reports to Medicaid. No clinic will get a reduced rate. Rates will stay at the current rate or an increase will be given based on the submitted cost reports. If 2018 and 2019 cost reports are not submitted by Friday Dec 31, 2021, then the most recent 2 years of cost reports that have been submitted to Medicaid will be used to figure the new PPS rate. Older cost reports could adversely affect a PPS increase.

If there are questions as to whether a cost report has been submitted, please direct questions to Hallie Doud at Hallie.Doud@ks.gov.

Cost reports may be submitted via email to Hallie Doud at the above email or a hard copy may be mailed to:
