KMAP BULLETIN: FMS Provider Required Enrollment Documentation
Date: 03/02/21
KMAP HCBS BULLETIN 21025 (PDF)
Effective February 11, 2021, providers enrolling as a Financial Management Services (FMS) provider must obtain and complete the FMS Readiness Review Tool prior to enrolling with KMAP or the KanCare Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). When providers are enrolling through the Provider Enrollment Wizard, the completed FMS Readiness Tool form will be a required attachment. Per KDADS policy, the MCO conducts readiness review for every new FMS provider wishing to provide services in Kansas. The MCO shall use the FMS Readiness Tool to conduct the readiness review and facilitate the KDADS approval process as required by policy. The FMS Readiness Tool must be approved by the Commission of the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability (KDADS). This form is available on the KDADS website.
The FMS Readiness Review Tool is posted in the KDADS General Forms section here.
Note: The effective date of the policy is February 11, 2021. The implementation of State policy by the KanCare Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) may vary from the date noted in the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) bulletins. The KanCare Open Claims Resolution Log on the KMAP Bulletins page documents the MCO system status for policy implementation and any associated reprocessing completion dates, once the policy is implemented.
