KMAP BULLETIN: OneCare Kansas and Targeted Case Management

Date: 05/25/21

KMAP GENERAL BULLETIN 21093 (PDF)

Effective on and after April 1, 2020, members who have opted into the OneCare Kansas (OCK) program cannot receive Targeted Case Management (TCM) services. TCM services cannot be duplicative of other similar Medicaid services, and OCK services are considered duplicative.

Eligibility on the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) website will reflect the Health Home Assignment as “This member is a Health Home Participant.” Providers should check the Medicaid eligibility monthly as the Health Home enrollment can change month to month.

The following codes are not billable and payable when a member is assigned to OCK: T1017 and T2023

Note: The effective date of the policy is April 1, 2020. The implementation of State policy by the KanCare Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) may vary from the date noted in the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) bulletins. The KanCare Open Claims Resolution Log on the KMAP Bulletins page documents the MCO system status for policy implementation and any associated reprocessing completion dates, once the policy is implemented.
