KMAP BULLETIN: CCBHC Specialty Designation for PPS - Service Code Additions - Supported Housing

Effective with dates of service on and after June 1, 2024, the Supported Housing Services - Operation Community Integration (OCI) - Intensive Community Integration (ICI) Support Services (H0037) will be added as a Certified Community Behavior Health Clinic (CCBHC) service and will trigger the Prospective Payment System (PPS) for payment. The existing OCI policy processes will remain the same. For additional/specific criteria and coding, reference the Mental Health Fee-for-Service Provider Manual on the Provider Manuals page on the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) website.

ICI Support Services provided by Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) that are not designated as CCBHCs shall continue to be reimbursed at the Fee-for-Service (FFS) per diem rate for service H0037 when submitted under the CMHC National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Note: The effective date of the policy is June 1, 2024. The implementation of State policy by the KanCare Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) may vary from the date noted in the KMAP bulletins. The KanCare Open Claims Resolution Log on the KMAP Bulletins page documents the MCO system status for policy implementation and any associated reprocessing completion dates once the policy is implemented.
