Portal Account Managers Reminder

Attention Portal Account Managers for one or more Tax Identification Numbers (TINs) in the Sunflower Provider Portal:

As an account manager, it is your responsibility to regularly log into the portal to:

  • Verify new portal registrations.
  • Disable portal users who no longer need portal access (i.e., left the company).
  • Modify portal permissions based on the user’s role within the organization.

Until users are verified by the account manager, they are unable to use the functions in the secure provider portal, such as claims, eligibility and authorizations. Please log into the secure portal of each TIN and line of business you are the account manager for and process any pending verifications.

  • Log into the secure provider portal.
  • Select Line of Business under “Plan Type” – be sure to review each line of business.
  • Tip: In the Status drop-down, select Active to filter out disabled portal accounts under the TIN.

  • Confirm user information is for a valid user who needs access to the portal.
  • Select button by “Verify Account” (or disable if they shouldn’t be approved); enter comments.
  • Hit “Update User.”
