We Want to Hear From You!

What are your experiences with 988 and other crisis services? What are the needs of people with IDD, BI, and other cognitive disabilities related to crisis?

It’s hard to find a meeting date and time that works for everyone. If you cannot join the Listening Session, you are welcome to provide feedback by emailing Teresa.Sowell@ks.gov or Megan.Shepard@ks.gov.

Who should attend? Individuals with lived experience and anyone interested in IDD crisis response and supports, including neurodivergent, intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health stakeholders.

The listening session is supported by the Link Center, a Project of National Significance (PNS) funded by the Administration for Community Living (ACL) to help make mental health treatment and supports more available to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), brain injury and other disabilities. The Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has joined with ACL on this project to support The Link Center to host this critical policy academy to help states make sure that crisis prevention and response are accessible to all children and adults.
