Relevant changes are noted below:

  • KDADS Criminal Record Check Program
    • The new Criminal Record Check (CRC) went live November 19, 2025.
    • Search will remain name based but the CRC will be the single location to request and receive all results.
    • Prohibition Letters and Court Letters will no longer be emailed but will be available directly on the employee list.
    • CRCs for employees already on the list can be resubmitted without re-entering information.
    • CRC system supports multiple authorized users.
    • CRC will automatically check the KNAR for prohibitions (ANE and Criminal Convictions).
  • DCF Adult Abuse Registry Check and DCF Child Abuse Registry Check
    • There will be a new process implemented Spring 2026. More information will be available when this is available.
  • National Sex Offender Registry Check
    • Effective April 1, 2025, KDADS and KDHE require providers to complete a National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) check before employment and every 2 years from the initial check.
    • In order to be compliant, the search must include all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and Indian Country.
    • If no outage notice appears above the search box, the search is compliant.
    • If an outage notice displays, continue checking until all jurisdictions are available.
    • Use the “Search by Name” feature for the most comprehensive results.
    • If an outage continues for longer than one hour, use the National Sex Offender Website Contact Us form for assistance.
